The Aspire Pocket+ 3000 Memory Cooler is a 24cm rolled hybrid with 3,000 springs in two layers and a memory foam comfort layer, covered in a fabric with carbon fibre strands woven into the thread to feel cool to the touch. Aspire rates it medium. Underneath the cover it matches the Pocket+ 3000 Memory, so the reason to pay more is that fabric.

What the Cooler fabric does

Aspire describes the cover as a patented Japanese fabric whose carbon fibre content makes it noticeably cooler than other textiles at the same room temperature. That is a surface effect: it helps most when you first lie down and when you turn onto a fresh patch. It does not change how much heat the memory foam below can hold, but the quilted fibre layer between the two gives that heat somewhere to go. Aspire’s product page lists the build in full.

Layer, top to bottom What Aspire uses
Sleep surface Aspire Cooler Ice fabric with carbon fibre strands
Comfort foam Memory foam
Upper springs 2,000 micro tablet pocket springs
Support foam Recycled eco foam
Insulators Recycled felt pads either side of the main springs
Main springs Pocket+ springs, up to 1,000 per mattress
Base Polyester support layer and recycled non-slip fabric

The two spring layers do different jobs. The full-height Pocket+ unit holds your spine level, and the micro springs nearer the surface give under a hip or shoulder, which keeps a side sleeper’s pressure points comfortable. Because every spring is pocketed, movement across the bed stays low. Aspire says the eco foam is 100% recycled and the memory foam can be recycled at the end of the mattress’s life.

Front sleepers are the group least likely to get on with it: a medium memory foam top lets the hips sink, and a firmer tufted mattress keeps the back flatter.

Sizes and prices

Size Mattress size (cm) Aspire price
Small single (2ft6) 75 x 190 £345
Single (3ft) 90 x 190 £349
Small double (4ft) 120 x 190 £399
Double (4ft6) 135 x 190 £415
King (5ft) 150 x 200 £479

Checked on 15 October 2026, with no reductions shown. There is no super king. Compared with the standard Pocket+ 3000 Memory, the cooling version costs £30 more in a single and £56 more in a double. The mattress is delivered vacuum packed and boxed, and Aspire allows up to 48 hours for it to reach its full depth.

Guarantee and returns

Aspire lists a 5-year warranty. After the first year its guarantee works on a sliding scale, so you pay 20% of the retail price for a replacement in year two and 70% in year five. There is no sleep trial. Once the hygiene seal is broken the mattress falls outside the 14-day cancellation right in Aspire’s returns policy, unless it is faulty. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 allow a seller to exclude sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed, which is the rule Aspire applies.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“If you share a bed and wake up warm, this is the Pocket+ hybrid to buy: the same two-layer spring system as the standard 3000 Memory, plus a cover that feels cool against the skin. If you rarely overheat, the standard version does the same job for less.”
