The Simba Cool Linen Bedding Set is a duvet cover and two pillowcases in a 60% linen, 40% lyocell blend, sold in double, king and super king from £219. It is Simba’s most breathable bedding and the most expensive, aimed at summer nights and at people who like the relaxed, crumpled look of linen.

The fabric

Pure linen breathes well but can feel rough at first. Simba blends 60% linen with 40% Tencel lyocell, a fibre made from wood pulp, to soften the handle and add moisture-wicking, while keeping linen’s slubby texture and relaxed, rumpled look. It is meant to be used unironed, and Simba’s care label says not to iron it at all. The blend is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, the label for textiles tested for harmful substances, and it is woven and sewn by the Costa family in Guimarães, Portugal, with natural dyes.

Linen fibres are long and hollow, which makes the fabric airy and quick to dry. Blending in lyocell takes the edge off linen’s initial roughness. The covers are cut to the same four sizes as Simba’s own duvets, so a Simba Hybrid Duvet fills them edge to edge. There is no single size in this set.

Sizes and prices

Size Duvet cover size (cm, W x L) Price
Double 200 x 200 £219
King 225 x 220 £229
Super king 260 x 220 £249

Prices are for the regular colours on simbasleep.com, checked on 15 October 2026. A double cover and pillowcase pair bought separately would cost £228, so the set saves £9. Dusty Rose and Light Cappuccino were on clearance at much lower prices. Delivery is free and next day for orders before 1pm.

Washing and care

Simba says to wash with similar colours, tumble dry on low with wool dryer balls, and not to bleach, iron or dry clean it. Linen softens with every wash, so expect it to feel noticeably better after a few weeks than it does on the first night. Washing the cover and pillowcases together keeps their colours matched as they age.

Who it suits

We recommend this set for hot sleepers and for anyone who wants a lived-in, natural look without ironing; Simba’s care label actually says not to iron it. The NHS sleep advice points to a cool room as a basic aid to sleep, and linen is the airiest fabric Simba offers. The price is high, about twice the percale set, and there is no single. Bedding can be returned within 30 days if unused, under Simba’s returns page.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“The Cool Linen Bedding Set is the airiest bedding Simba sells and the natural choice for summer or a hot sleeper who likes a relaxed look. It costs nearly twice the percale set, so buy it for the texture, not as a necessity.”
