Emma Box Bed
8.2/10Emma's upholstered frame with LVL slats and an optional height-adjustable headboard, for double to…
Simba's lowest-priced ottoman bed, with a rounded headboard, gas-lift storage and slats, sold from small double to super king.
No firmness rating from the manufacturer.
The Alderley is Simba’s entry-level ottoman, launched in September 2026: a flat-pack bed with a softly rounded headboard, a gas-lift storage base and a zoned slatted platform. It comes in two fabrics only, Light Stone chenille woven from recycled polyester or Chocolate velvet, and it is the one Simba ottoman offered as a 4ft small double.
Expect less space than in Simba’s made-to-order ottomans. Simba gives the storage as 78.5 litres in the small double, 88.3 in the double, 103 in the king and 123.6 in the super king, enough for spare duvets and pillows but not for suitcases. The frame is MDF and plywood, upholstered in the chosen fabric, with a solid board floor to the storage well. The bed is made in China and arrives in two boxes, and two people need about 20 minutes and the supplied tools to build it.

Prices are from simbasleep.com in October 2026, and the small double is listed in Light Stone only. A double costs about £450 less than a Camden double with the ottoman base, and you keep the 200-night trial and 10-year guarantee. Delivery is £30, on a day you choose at checkout.
Simba’s cheapest ottoman sits between two siblings. The Alderley Bed Frame has the same headboard and fabrics without storage for £100 less, while the Radlett Ottoman costs £100 more as a double but holds 610 litres against the Alderley’s 88. For a guest room that only needs to hide spare pillows, the Alderley is enough; for a flat short of wardrobe space, the Radlett is the better buy. All three come with Simba’s 200-night trial.
We recommend the Alderley for a guest room or a first flat where a lifting base keeps bedding off the floor and the budget matters more than capacity. The slats help a foam mattress breathe. It is too new to have customer reviews on simbasleep.com yet, and if you need deep storage the made-to-order ottomans hold several times as much.
