The Aspire Grant Divan Bed Set is a made-to-order divan upholstered by hand in the UK, which sets it apart from the imported ottomans and frames that make up most of Aspire’s bed range. You configure it on Aspire’s product page: size, fabric shade, drawers, headboard and mattress. The base alone starts at £300 for a 3ft single.
The default price covers the base on glides with no drawers, no headboard and no mattress. Everything else is an extra, and the extras are where the bill grows:

A single with two drawers, the headboard and the Ortho mattress therefore lands at roughly twice the base price. The shop showed no sale price on the Grant when we checked in October 2026, unlike Aspire’s imported frames.
The fabric is Napoli soft-touch linen, a woven fabric in four neutral shades. Drawers run on ball-bearing glides, and the optional headboard is foam padded and mounts on solid wood struts, so it sits independently of the wall. Aspire states the base meets UK safety standards; for an upholstered divan that includes the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.
Because each base is built to order, Aspire’s delivery guide quotes 15 to 20 working days for UK-made bed frames against two or three for imported ones. Warranty is 12 months. One gap to note: the configurator does not show the surcharge for each larger size until you select it, so price a double or king on the page before you plan around it. The same divan is also sold through B&Q’s marketplace and Sports Direct.
A divan stores things differently from an ottoman. Drawers open without lifting the mattress, which is handy for things you reach for every day, but they need clear floor space beside the bed and hold far less than a lift-up well that runs the whole length of the base. If you mainly want to hide spare duvets and suitcases, an ottoman gives more room for the money; if you want a British-made bed with a fabric you chose yourself, the Grant is the better fit.
