A lightweight 7.9kg folding bed that folds to just 10cm deep, with a thin 5cm e-Fibre mattress for occasional nights.
The Jay-Be CE70 Compact Folding Bed with Comfort Mattress is the slimmest bed in Jay-Be’s folding range: it folds to 10cm deep and weighs 7.9kg, so it slides behind a door, under a bed or into a car boot. Jay-Be sells it direct for £125 at the time of writing (October 2026), and Argos listed a Jay-Be Compact single at £109 when we checked on 4 October 2026.
The trade-off is the mattress. It is a 5cm pad of breathable e-Fibre, 185 x 63cm, laid on a taut Mono-Tex fabric platform rather than on springs, so it feels firm and side sleepers will notice the frame. Jay-Be’s product images rate the frame for users up to 140kg, and the J-Grip legs are shaped to stop the bed tipping when someone sits on the edge.

The guarantee figures are from Jay-Be’s guarantee page. There is no sleep trial; the refund policy allows 14 days to return an unused bed in its original packaging. The mattress fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100.
Choose the CE70 for a studio flat, a campervan or a child’s sleepover, where the space it saves matters more than comfort. For an adult guest staying more than a night or two, a folding bed with a 10cm mattress is far more comfortable.

„The CE70 earns its place when storage space decides everything, because it folds to 10cm and weighs under 8kg. The 5cm mattress is its limit, so treat it as an occasional bed and add a topper if adults will use it.“
