Silentnight Healthy Growth Cosy Toddler Mattress im Test

The Silentnight Healthy Growth Cosy Toddler Mattress is a 10cm cot bed mattress, 70 x 140cm, for toddlers sleeping in a cot bed or a 70 x 140cm toddler bed. It has a firm, washable polyester core with no foam and costs £109 on Silentnight’s own shop.

How it is built

From Silentnight’s product page:

The washable core is the practical point. Toddlers who have just come out of nappies at night will have accidents, and a fibre core that can be cleaned is easier to live with than foam that holds moisture.

Fit and safety

A cot bed mattress should sit snugly in the frame with no gap at the sides or ends, so measure the inside of the bed before ordering; 70 x 140cm is the standard UK cot bed size. If the cot bed will later go back into use as a cot for a younger sibling, The Lullaby Trust’s mattress factsheet asks for a firm, flat mattress with a waterproof layer and advises that it is generally safest to have a new mattress for each baby.

Trial and guarantee

Silentnight offers a 60-night sleep trial, and its guarantee terms cover mattresses for 5 years as standard, rising to 15 years if you register the purchase within three months. Delivery takes about 14 days. Once your child moves into a full single, the mattress has done its job.
