Frequent travel cot use
Latex or wool allergy

The Tiny Dreamer Natural is the coir and wool version of The Tiny Bed Company’s folding travel cot mattress: 5cm deep, made to order in the UK, and cut to the base of a named travel cot. It swaps the foam core of the standard Tiny Dreamer for natural fibres, which gives a firmer, springier surface and a price close to double.

What is inside

A layer of coconut coir sits between two layers of 100% wool. The maker gives the coir composition as 60% coconut fibre and 40% natural latex, the latex being what binds the fibres into a pad. Wool on both faces means the mattress has no foam at all. Because it contains both latex and wool, it is the wrong choice for a household with either allergy.

Sizes and prices

Four sizes are listed on the maker’s shop, priced as below in October 2026.

Travel cot Mattress size Price
Bugaboo Stardust 91 x 51cm £109.95
Nuna Sena Aire 94 x 66cm £119.95
Standard 95 x 65cm cots 95 x 65cm £118.95
Maxi-Cosi Swift 97 x 78cm £136.95

Care, folding and standards

The cover unzips for the washing machine and should be line dried. Like the foam model, the mattress folds in half along a centre seam, to 47.5 x 65 x 10cm in the 95 x 65cm size, and comes with a storage bag. The brand quotes BS 7177 for flammability and BS 1877 Part 10 for performance; BSI lists the latter as withdrawn since December 2023, so ask for EN 16890 evidence if you want the current standard.

It is made to order and non-returnable unless faulty. For cheaper or high-street options, see our travel cot mattress comparison.

Our verdict

Conclusion
“We recommend the Tiny Dreamer Natural to families who want natural fillings and use the travel cot often enough to justify the price, such as a weekly stay with grandparents. Households with a latex or wool allergy should take the foam version instead.”
