Aspire 3000 Pocket Wool Cashmere and Silk Pillowtop

Firmness: Medium firmA 15cm foam mattress for children's beds, bunks and high sleepers, with memory foam on an engineered foam base and a zip-off cover.
The Aspire Kids Foam Eco Memory Mattress is a 15cm all-foam mattress for children’s beds, made in the UK: a high-density engineered foam base topped with 2.5cm of memory foam, under a zip-off cover that can be dry cleaned. Its slim depth is the point, since bunk beds and high sleepers set a limit on how deep a mattress can be. A single costs £175.
On a raised bed, the safety rail only works if the mattress sits low enough below its top edge. That is why bunk and high-sleeper makers specify a maximum mattress depth, and why an ordinary adult mattress is often too deep for one. Aspire designed this one at 15cm for most types of kids’ beds, including high sleepers and bunks, according to its product page. Check the maximum depth printed in your bed’s instructions before ordering; a 15cm mattress fits most, but not every frame.
| Part | What Aspire uses |
|---|---|
| Comfort layer | 2.5cm memory foam |
| Base | High-density engineered foam |
| Cover | Zip-off, dry-cleanable outer cover |
| Total depth | 15cm |
Without springs, the mattress is light enough for one adult to lift onto a top bunk, and the zip-off cover can be taken away for cleaning after the inevitable spills. Aspire does not publish a firmness rating; with a thin memory foam layer over a high-density base we would place it at medium, firm enough to support a growing child without feeling hard.
| Size | Mattress size (cm) | Aspire price |
|---|---|---|
| Small single (2ft6) | 75 x 190 | £165 |
| Single (3ft) | 90 x 190 | £175 |
| Small double (4ft) | 120 x 190 | £230 |
Prices read on 15 October 2026, with no reductions. It comes in small single, single and small double, the sizes children’s beds are usually built in. The mattress is delivered vacuum packed and rolled, which helps in an attic or box room. Delivery is free to the doorstep on the UK mainland.
Aspire’s page gives two warranty figures for this model: its short description says five years, while the product badge says 12 months. We list the shorter one; ask Aspire to confirm in writing if the longer cover matters to you. There is no trial, and Aspire’s returns policy excludes mattresses with a broken hygiene seal from the 14-day cancellation right unless they are faulty. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 allow a seller to exclude sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for hygiene reasons once they have been unsealed, which is the rule Aspire applies.
It is not a cot mattress and is not sized for one; for babies, follow the cot maker’s mattress size.

“For a bunk bed, a high sleeper or a cabin bed with a depth limit, this 15cm foam mattress is a sensible, easy-to-handle choice, with a cover you can take off for cleaning. For a standard single bed an older child will sleep in for years, a deeper pocket sprung mattress gives more support.”Go to shop →
