Firmness: MediumA 5cm folding foam travel cot mattress, made to order in the UK to fit named cots such as the Nuna Sena Aire.
The Tiny Dreamer is a 5cm foam travel cot mattress that The Tiny Bed Company makes to order in the UK, cut to the internal base of a specific travel cot rather than to one generic size. That is its real advantage. Travel cot bases differ by a few centimetres from brand to brand, and a mattress that is too small leaves a gap at the edge where a baby’s limbs or face can end up.
The maker lists a version for each of the cots below, all 5cm deep, at the prices on its UK shop in October 2026.
| Travel cot | Mattress size | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Joie Kubbie Sleep | 87 x 52cm | £59.95 |
| Bugaboo Stardust | 91 x 51cm | £65.95 |
| Maxi-Cosi Iris | 91 x 52cm | £64.95 |
| Nuna Sena Aire | 94 x 66cm | £65.95 |
| Red Kite Sleep Tight and standard 95 x 65cm cots | 95 x 65cm | £65.95 |
| Maxi-Cosi Swift | 97 x 78cm | £74.95 |
| Joie Commuter | 100 x 69cm | £69.95 |
| Standard 104 x 74cm cots | 104 x 74cm | £69.95 |
| BabyBjörn Travel Cot | 105 x 60cm | £69.95 |
The core is nursery-grade foam, which the maker says is safety tested for firmness and support. A white bubble-knit cover zips off and goes in the washing machine. The mattress folds in half along a centre seam: the 95 x 65cm model folds to 47.5 x 65 x 10cm and slips into the storage bag supplied, small enough for a car boot or cabin luggage.
The Tiny Bed Company states that its mattresses meet BS 7177 for flammability without antimony, phosphorus or arsenic based fire retardants. For the travel cot range it quotes BS 1877 Part 10, a British standard that BSI lists as withdrawn since December 2023, while the current European standard, BS EN 16890:2017+A1:2021, names travel cots in its scope. Ask the maker for EN 16890 test evidence if that matters to you. Whichever mattress you choose, the Lullaby Trust advises checking the travel cot manufacturer’s guidance before using a replacement.
Each mattress is made to order and cannot be returned unless faulty, and the brand’s warranty page covers manufacturing faults for two years. If your cot is not on the list, compare the alternatives in our travel cot mattress comparison.

“We recommend the Tiny Dreamer to parents whose travel cot is a named model such as a Joie Kubbie Sleep, Nuna Sena Aire or BabyBjörn, because a mattress cut to that base leaves no gap to guess about. It is not the pick if you may change cots soon, since a made-to-order mattress cannot go back for a change of mind.”Go to shop →
