A Victorian-style white metal bedstead with brass rails and cannonball knobs, sold from single to super king.
No firmness rating from the manufacturer.
The Juniper Bed is a Victorian-style metal bedstead: white hand-painted castings, curved brass top rails and a brass cannonball knob on each post. The frame itself is sand-cast tubular steel with a stove enamel finish. It is one of the least expensive beds in the And So To Bed collection, with the single at £2,345 and the super king at £2,845.
| Size | Mattress size | Overall width x length | Regular price |

| Single | 90 x 190cm | 96 x 205cm | £2,345 |
| Double | 135 x 190cm | 142 x 205cm | £2,630 |
| King | 150 x 200cm | 157 x 213cm | £2,650 |
| Super king | 180 x 200cm | 188 x 213cm | £2,845 |
Dimensions and prices are taken from the Juniper Bed page on andsotobed.co.uk on 9 October 2026, with the OBC slatted base. The ASTB platform base is the dearer option. Unlike a wooden sleigh bed, the Juniper adds very little to the footprint, roughly 6 to 8cm in width and 13 to 15cm in length, which makes it workable in a box room or a narrow Victorian terrace. A sale was on when we checked, so the price you pay may be lower.
The headboard rises to 151cm and the footboard to 119cm, both with the same pattern of vertical spindles and cast scroll brackets. The brass rails are left exposed, so they will take on a warmer tone over the years. Care is simple. And So To Bed recommends a soft dry cloth, a damp one only for sticky marks, and keeping hairspray and cosmetics away from the enamel. The mattress and base sit inside the frame, so both must come out before the bed is moved.
This is the bed for a cottage, a period terrace or a guest room where you want the look of an antique brass bedstead without the restoration work. The single suits a child’s room that should last into the teenage years. The 119cm footboard is the one real limitation. It frames the bed nicely but stops tall sleepers from letting their feet hang over the end, and it hides the bedding from the door.
Metal bedsteads usually take 18 to 20 weeks to arrive. Delivery to mainland England is £45, assembly by the white glove team £95, with £100 extra for Scotland and Wales. You have 14 days from delivery to notify a return, though special orders are only taken back if faulty, and no guarantee period is published for the frame. For a steel bed at this price, a stated guarantee would be reassuring, so ask for it in writing before you order.

“The Juniper is the easiest way into the And So To Bed look, with real brass details for far less than the brand's grander bedsteads. We recommend it for period homes and smaller rooms, as long as the high footboard does not bother you.”Go to shop →
